The Story Behind the Koa & Mr. Oak Show
Welcome to the Koa & Mr. Oak Show — a father-and-son adventure built to inspire families to learn, build, and grow together.
The show started as something small: just a dad and his son spending time in the garage, working with tools, fixing things, and turning everyday moments into memories. What began in our Buckeye home grew into a mission to teach practical skills, encourage creativity, and strengthen families through simple, hands-on projects.
Who We Are
I’m Tim — also known as “Mr. Oak.” I’ve spent years working with my hands, building homes, repairing just about everything, and teaching people how things work. But nothing means more to me than sharing those skills with my son.
Koa is the heart of the show. He brings the imagination, the curiosity, the jokes, and the spark that makes every project special. His excitement is contagious, and he reminds us that learning doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be fun.
Together, we build projects that any family can try:
• cardboard rocket ships
• changing a tire
• simple DIY builds
• creative problem solving
• faith-centered teaching moments
Everything we do is designed to bring families closer and help kids build confidence through real-world experiences.
What We Believe
At the core of our show are four pillars:
FAMILY
Time together matters. Kids remember the moments you build, explore, and create with them.
FAITH
We lead with the values we live by every day — kindness, honesty, courage, hard work — and the reminder that Jesus walks with us through every challenge.
CREATIVITY
Big ideas don’t require big budgets. Sometimes all you need is cardboard, a few tools, and a willing heart.
REAL-WORLD LEARNING
We teach practical skills in a way kids can understand — because confidence grows when you try things yourself.
Our Mission
To help families create meaningful moments, learn new skills, and grow closer — one project at a time.
We’re not here to be perfect.
We’re here to be real, to teach what we know, and to show families that learning together is one of the greatest gifts you can give a child.
Join the Family
Whether you’re here for DIY ideas, encouragement, entertainment, or to watch a dad and son laugh their way through a project… we’re glad you’re here.
This is just the beginning.
Stick around — there’s a lot more to build together.
